This was the very first three-hand watch produced by Daini Seikosha (Kameido Factory), created as a sister model to the Super series from the Suwa Factory. Designed to meet the “thin” and “large” standards that defined men’s watches of the era, the line was offered in a range of dials and specifications.
What makes today’s piece particularly special is that it represents Seiko’s earliest documented experiment with the now-iconic “Snowflake” textured dial, predating the versions later seen in Grand Seiko and other models. The raised, faceted indexes catch and reflect light beautifully alongside the snow texture, enhanced by an inner silver ring with a record-vinyl texture that brings a perfect sense of balance to the design.
Even more remarkable is the condition: This example remains unworn, complemented with what is believed to be its original straps from the period, which makes the whole experience more immersive.
Captivating both in hand and on the wrist, it stands as a true artifact of Seiko’s post-war pursuit of excellence.
The watch is in perfect working condition and will undergo a thorough servicing upon purchase. Please allow 1-2 months for the servicing to be completed before it is shipped.
