Today, we have the privilege of presenting another highly uncommon Seiko chronograph, known as the 6138-8000 or Reverse Baby Panda. This remarkable timepiece, introduced in 1971, features the 23 Jewel version of the Caliber 6138B, which was in production for just one year and exclusively housed within the 6138-800x, a domestic model available only in Japan.
Similar to its counterpart, the 8001 variant, the 8000 offers two dial options: a captivating black iridescent charcoal and a pristine pearl white. The chronograph we are offering showcases the reverse charcoal dial.
This particular model exhibits a slightly narrower and lighter profile compared to the jumbo-sized 6138-8001, making it exceptionally suitable for those with slimmer wrists. One notable advantage of this reference is the presence of luminescent material on both the dial and the hour/minute hands, ensuring excellent legibility in low-light conditions. The Tachymeter ring is slimmer, resulting in a more understated and refined dial appearance.
Without a doubt, this model is an essential addition to the collection of any avid Seiko chronograph enthusiast.
Rest assured, the watch has undergone thorough professional inspection by our skilled watchmaker, and it is accompanied by a 3-month mechanical warranty provided by us.
Ships from Tokyo, Japan.

The chronograph is in near-mint condition: The case is strong with just some light scratches. The dial is the main attraction here as it is very clean and the hands are still intact including the red tip.
The bracelet is in very good condition and has few scratches and still retains its sharp edges: You can enjoy the vertical brushing lines as it still shines beautifully in the sunlight.
