The unmistakable 6138-3000 earns its well-deserved nickname, "Jumbo," thanks to its 42mm size. However, its size perfectly matches its sophistication. The matte black multilevel dial is adorned with sleek contrasting markers and skillfully framed by the subtly angled chapter. The white hour and minute baton-style hands seamlessly complement the design, while the vibrant yellow chronograph hands provide a tasteful burst of color.
The meticulously detailed case is nothing short of impressive and exudes an undeniable presence on the wrist. The bracelet, also utilized by the 6138-800X Baby Panda models, not only offers comfort but also adds a polished touch to the overall appearance. With the convenience of independent day and date quickset functions and the option to manually wind the mainspring, the 6138 surpasses its predecessor with clear advantages. The chronograph functions operate crisply and responsively, and following servicing, the watch maintains near-perfect time.
This particular March 1972 example is completely original, retaining its pristine condition and unpolished finish. It stands as a timeless classic that is sure to take a prominent place in any vintage collection.

The chronograph is in near-mint condition: The case is strong with just some light scratches. The dial is the main attraction here as it is very clean and the hands are still intact including the baton hands and yellow chronograph and subdial hands.
The bracelet is in very good condition and has few scratches and still retains its sharp edges: You can enjoy the vertical brushing lines as it still shines beautifully in the sunlight. One of the end links has light marks of bumps but not noticeable.
The glass has been replaced with a NOS part from Seiko.
