There is no denial that we all love a double-signed dial. There’s something undeniably special about seeing two names share the same watch face. It feels like a secret handshake between brands, a quiet nod to history. While the usual suspects often steal the spotlight, there’s a different kind of charm in purpose-driven collaborations found on rugged tool watches.
The Scubapro 450 was a variant of the 6306, introduced in 1976 as Seiko’s first turtle. It features a distinct crown placement at 4 o’clock, a hallmark design choice that would come to define the brand’s dive watches series. The Scubapro 450 emerged as part of a strategic collaboration between Seiko and a diving company.
However, the alterations were primarily superficial, with the dial being the sole noticeable distinction. Notably, it received its own unique dial code: transitioning from 700L T to 700J T. The dual-branded version was predominantly manufactured between 1978 and 1979.
Finding one in great condition today is no easy feat, but this example? It’s the kind of discovery that only surfaces once in a blue moon. Barely worn and still fitted with its original soft Scubapro-signed strap, it even retains traces of the original blue caseback sticker.
Freshly serviced, this is as close as you’ll get to experiencing the Scubapro 450 as it was meant to be.

Seiko Diver 6306-7001 ScubaPro 450
This ScubaPro diver is in immaculate conditions.
The case remains sharp with well-defined edges, showing only minor surface marks likely from storage or light use. The matte dial, hands, indices, and lume are all original and have aged gracefully, developing a stunning patina that adds depth and character.
The crystal is in excellent condition, free from any noticeable scratches or chips.
The case back is crisp, with deep engravings and traces of the original blue protective sticker still visible.
Also included are the original ScubaPro-branded rubber straps, still in good shape. However, due to their age, we recommend keeping them for display or collection purposes rather than daily wear, as they may be prone to cracking.
