Today, we are presenting another exceptionally rare Seiko chronograph known as the Baby Panda, referenced as 6138-8000. This model, featuring the 23-jewel version of Caliber 6138B, was introduced in 1971 and had a production span of only one year. It was exclusively housed within the 6138-800x, a model available in the Japanese domestic market.
Similar to the 8001 variant, the 8000 model offers two dial options: a black iridescent charcoal and a pearl white. The chronograph we are offering showcases the creamy dial version.
This particular model is slightly narrower and lighter compared to its counterpart, the jumbo 6138-8001, making it suitable for individuals with thinner wrists. It also has the advantage of both the dial and hour/minute hands being luminescent, ensuring excellent legibility at night. The Tachymeter ring is thinner, resulting in a more understated and cleaner dial design.
Undoubtedly, this model is a must-have for avid collectors of Seiko chronographs!
The watch has undergone professional inspection by our watchmaker and comes with a 3-month mechanical warranty provided by us.
Ships from Tokyo, Japan.

The chronograph is in very good condition: The case is strong with just some light scratches. The dial is the main attraction here as it is very clean and the hands are still intact including the red tip.
The bracelet is in very good condition and has few scratches and still retains its sharp edges: You can enjoy the vertical brushing lines as it still shines beautifully in the sunlight.
