The 7012 Speedtimer chronograph is a versatile timepiece that can be worn for any occasion. It distinguishes itself from other models in the 6139 series with its slimmer case profile and a tonneau shape that is both comfortable and well-proportioned.
This particular watch, manufactured in July 1971, is in pristine condition. With a size of 41mm, it offers a noticeable presence on the wrist without being overpowering. The mid-case features a brushed finish, while the polished and beveled bezel creates a captivating contrast that directs attention to the dial. Speaking of the dial, it is flawlessly executed, showcasing a matte black surface with a textured finish and a thoughtfully balanced color layout.
The Speed Timer logo is positioned alongside the day (written in both Kanji and English) and date window. The date display is highlighted in a vibrant "SpeedTimer" orange color, which is also used for the 1/5 second track at the edge of the dial. The minute register is presented in a charcoal gray shade with a subtle sunburst effect, while a white block minute chapter enhances the overall legibility with a bold contrast.
