If you grew up in the 70s or been a fan of the Japan's showa era, you’re likely familiar with the iconic Japanese pop culture figures that have left a lasting global impact, particularly through the enduring appeal of "Tokusatsu" superhero series from the late 1960s and 70s.

One of the most popular Tokusatsu shows was Kamen Rider, which is a sci-fi series that featured Takeshi Hongo as a motorcycle rider, and back in 2014, collectors identified that he was wearing a Seiko 5 Sports Ref.5126-8090 thus giving it the "Kamen Rider" nickname.

And if you’re curious about the name choice, it couldn’t be more fitting: Designed for motorcycle enthusiasts, this classic features a black dial with contrast white hour markers and hands, a day/date window at the 3 o’clock position, and a bright red “lollipop” sweep counts the seconds.
