While vintage enthusiasts often focus their attention on the 613X "Suwa" chronographs, Seiko's Daini division responded with their own impressive 701X calibers, which sometimes surpassed expectations. Although they may lack minute and hour registers, they compensate with unique features. This October '74 model, the 7015-7000, stands out as an exceptional racing chronograph with sleek lines and elegant curves.

The dial of this timepiece is flawless, featuring a captivating gradient blue sunburst pattern that gradually lightens towards the center and darkens towards the edges. The markers are polished to a mirror finish, and their beveled design adds to the dial's allure. Along the outer edge, a segmented decimal chapter in baby blue and white provides a distinctive touch, while the vibrant orange sweep hand immediately catches the eye. One notable feature of Seiko's 701X movements is the "flyback" reset, enabling the sweep hand to be instantly reset to zero without stopping the mechanism. Completing the ensemble is the original 5 Sports bracelet, enhancing the overall aesthetic appeal. The chronograph functions operate smoothly and responsively.

This watch is in New Old Stock (NOS) condition, making it an extremely rare opportunity to own this model in perfect, pristine condition!
