The King Seiko line began as a hand-wound series but evolved over time into a remarkable automatic lineup born from the friendly rivalry with Suwa’s Grand Seiko.
This example, the Ref.5625-7120, features a clean, understated Gray-blue linen dial with crisp applied indices. While the reference was also offered with a white dial, there’s no denying this variant is the most charming. What’s especially interesting, well-documented if you research this reference, is how the dial naturally fades to a charcoal tone over time, much like its Grand Seiko sister, the Ref. 564X-8000.
The case design is distinct to this model, with sharp, architectural lugs and flat Zaratsu-style planes that embody Seiko’s classic Grammar of Design. A slim profile and narrow polished bezel frame the dial beautifully, while the recessed crown keeps the silhouette clean and symmetrical.
This is the first time we’ve ever encountered a true new old stock example, complete with its original strap, signed buckle, and original price tag. You simply won’t find a better one.
The watch will be serviced once purchased. Please allow 1-2 months for servicing to be completed.
