Embracing a legacy that spans from its inception in 1968 to 1975, the 61GS stood tall as Grand Seiko's premier model, succeeding the esteemed 62GS. Born at the Suwa factory, its crowning glory was the incorporation of the groundbreaking self-winding 6100 series movement, distinguished by its high beat. This innovative movement marked a significant departure from the 6200 series utilized in the 62GS, facilitating manual winding and enhanced adjustability for superior precision.
