Crafted by Suwa Seikosha in Nagano, this Ref. 5645-5000 features a date window and captivates from the very first glance. It’s housed in a compact, rectangular case of solid 18K yellow gold, distinguished by its beautifully hammered finish. Bold yet refined, it commands attention, and that’s where the love story begins.
 
There’s a particular kind of pleasure in experiencing the hammered finish of this reference, both visually and to the touch, especially when the example is as sharp as this one: The upper section of the case features a distinct hammered texture that contrasts beautifully with the brushed finish on the lower half, creating a subtle play of light and depth. On the wrist, it just wears effortlessly.
 
Beneath the crystal lies a snowflake-textured dial in a soft champagne gold tone. This dial was the inspiration behind the now-iconic modern Grand Seiko “Snowflake", said to be influenced by the traditional fibers of washi Japanese paper and the powdery snow of Nagano.
